- TimeItUp only uses your social accounts to publish the posts you schedule and to show you how they went.
- We don’t sell your data, and we don’t use it for advertising.
- Platform connections are encrypted, and you can disconnect or delete everything at any time.
Overview
This policy explains how TimeItUp (“TimeItUp”, “we”, “us”) handles information when you use the TimeItUp website at timeitup.com and the TimeItUp app (together, the “Service”). TimeItUp lets you write posts, schedule them, and publish them to the social media accounts you connect.
What we collect
Information you give us
- Account details: your name, email address and a securely hashed password.
- Your content: captions, photos, videos, titles, notes and the dates and times you schedule.
- Messages: anything you send us by email, such as support requests.
Information collected automatically
- Technical logs: IP address, browser type, and the date and time of requests, kept by our web server for security and troubleshooting.
- Cookies: only the essential cookies needed to keep you signed in and protect forms. We don’t use advertising or tracking cookies.
Data from social platforms
When you connect an account, you sign in on that platform’s own page and approve TimeItUp. We never see your platform password. Depending on the platform, we receive:
- Facebook and Instagram (Meta): the list of Facebook Pages you manage, the Instagram business or creator accounts linked to them, their names and profile pictures, and access tokens that let us publish to them. We request permission to list your Pages, read basic Page information, publish posts to your Pages, and publish content to your linked Instagram accounts.
- TikTok: your basic profile (display name, avatar and an account identifier) and an access token that lets us upload and publish the videos you schedule.
- YouTube (Google): your channel name, channel identifier and thumbnail, and an access token that lets us upload the videos you schedule.
After publishing, we store the post’s ID, link and status (for example “published” or the error the platform returned) so you can see what happened. We don’t read your followers, messages, comments or other private data.
How we use it
We use information only to:
- publish your scheduled posts to the accounts you choose, at the times you choose;
- show you the status, links and any errors for each post;
- keep your connections working (for example, renewing an access token before it expires);
- keep the Service secure, fix problems, and respond to you when you contact us.
We don’t sell your information, use it for advertising, or use platform data for any purpose other than providing the features you asked for.
Who we share it with
- The platforms you post to — your content goes to Meta, TikTok or Google only when you schedule it for an account on that platform.
- Our hosting and email providers — who store the Service and send emails such as password resets, under their own confidentiality and security terms.
- Legal reasons — if required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of our users or others.
We never share your data with advertisers or data brokers.
YouTube and Google
TimeItUp uses YouTube API Services to upload videos to your channel. By connecting YouTube, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google’s handling of your information is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
TimeItUp’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. You can remove TimeItUp’s access at any time from your Google account’s third-party connections page.
Storage and security
The Service runs on a server we control. Platform access tokens are encrypted before they’re stored, passwords are hashed, and all traffic to timeitup.com uses HTTPS. No system is perfectly secure, but we limit access to the people who need it to run the Service and keep software up to date.
How long we keep it
- Account and content: for as long as your account is open, or until you delete it.
- Platform connections: until you disconnect the account or delete your TimeItUp account. Disconnecting deletes the stored tokens immediately.
- Server logs: typically up to 30 days.
- Backups: deleted data may remain in backups for a short period before it’s overwritten.
Deleting your data
You can delete your data at any time:
- Disconnect an account: in TimeItUp, go to Accounts and remove it. Its tokens are deleted straight away.
- Delete posts: delete any post from Posts; its media files are removed from our server.
- Delete everything: email contact@timeitup.com from your account’s email address and ask us to delete your account. We’ll delete your account, content and connections within 30 days and confirm by email.
Step-by-step instructions are on our Delete your data page. You can also revoke access from each platform directly: in Facebook under Settings & privacy → Business integrations, in TikTok under Settings → Security → Manage app permissions, and in your Google account under Third-party connections. Revoking access on the platform stops TimeItUp from posting; email us if you also want the stored data removed.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, download or delete your personal information, or to object to how we use it. Email contact@timeitup.com and we’ll respond within 30 days. We won’t treat you differently for using these rights.
Children
TimeItUp is not intended for anyone under 16, and we don’t knowingly collect information from children. If you think a child has given us information, contact us and we’ll delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top. For significant changes we’ll also let account holders know by email before they take effect.
